About

new july omp signWe fell in love with  the island after a visit  some years ago as I’m sure you will too as there really is something for everyone and we are proud to call it  home now.

The Isle of Bute is the first island of the Highlands. It boasts at least six beaches with the most most amazing backdrops and sunsets to be amazed by and if you are lucky you may see the odd seal.  If you are a walker there is the West Island Way which can be tackled in sections- its a great way to see Bute’s flora and fauna and of course making the most of the views.  There are a host of activities and festivals too including Butefest, The Highland Games and The Jazz Festival.  Visit Mount Stuart House with 300 acres of gardens and beaches in its glory.   We have three golf courses with 40 holes between them, each with their own spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde. There is a sailing club and you can brave the sea by kayaking or come and join us at the Bute Outdoor Swimming Society, a hobby we enjoy ourselves.  These are only a few to mention, more links enclosed for your information.

For a relatively small island of 15miles long by 4 miles it offers a relaxing break or a break away with activities of your choice to enjoy.
